Rumor: Apple might release two iPhones this month

The iPhone 5 has become a part of Internet folklore rather than an actual device. According to Dailymobile.se, Apple might release a budget version of the current iPhone – the iPhone 4 along with the iPhone 5. 

iPhone 5 has been heating the charts ever since the arrival of its predecessor, the iPhone 4. The whole world is going bonkers about the iPhone 5, but a budget version of the iPhone 4 does seem a good idea.

This is not the first time a budget edition of the iPhone has been speculated about. In fact, in March this year, the former Apple COO and the current CEO, Tim Cook, had commented “Apple is likely develop lower priced offerings.”

Ever since then, the net has been abuzz out the iPhone 5 cheaper version. The grapevine has even named it the iPhone 5 ‘Nano’. Amongst all iPhone 5 rumors, this rumor has been the most popular one. There are many reasons behind that.

Firstly, Apple’s advent into the budget smartphone market would mean that the IT giant would like to shrug off its ‘high-end’ image and cater to the needs of the common man. A budget device from Apple could be a step forward for the whole industry. It would be expected to set yardsticks for the whole market.

Secondly, a budget device would entail that Apple has finally begun to cater to the biggest mobile market in the world – the Asian market. In countries like India, most people are not Apple customers as the products are come too expensive. Unlike the US, we do not have adequate career support. While the iPhone on its own comes for 40K, It is also available through operators such as Airtel and Vodafone at a price tag of around 25 K.

But, there is a catch in these operators’ offering. They provide you an expensive tariff plan instead of the normal one, boiling down the cost to the same effect.

The whole world is eagerly eyeing the iPhone 5 expected release next month.
