iPad might be losing ground in the tablet market as new research indicates that most potential customers have started looking towards other devices

iPad has been crowned the king of the tablet market ever since its debut back in 2010. In fact, people tend to think that no tablet matches up to the iPad. But new research conducted by KW CompTech indicates that the iPad has already started sliding down the ratings chart in European countries. In India, the device is yet to replace the Samsung Galaxy Tab as the top reigning tablet.
In fact, according to Trak.in, 14 Galaxy Tabs sell for every iPad sold here. The future seems to be darker for Apple’ iPad here. The Indian tablet market is diversifying everyday with affordable and well-equipped tablets such as the Reliance 3G tab and Beetel Magiq.
Apple seems to be missing out on one of the most dynamic tablet markets in the world. With no country-specific support, less apps than other platforms and unbelievably expensive products, it is no surprise that Apple isn’t picking up on global sales. After all, our country houses every fifth person in the world. Missing out on us simply means out missing out on one-fifth of perspective customers.
With the availability of superior tabs such as the Asus Transformer, the temptation to take a bit of the Apple becomes even less.
Apple is currently eyeing a beautiful horizon with the coterie of its iPhone, iPad and the iPod. But it really wants to remain at the top, it needs to get its act together and integrate all markets rather than just the high-end UK and US markets.
Apple’s third version of the iPad is touted to come next year. Trust us to keep you updated with everything and anything regarding Apple and Apple products.
