Apple iPhone 5 could be announced on October 4th

After months of speculation and wait for the arrival and announcement of the iPhone 5, there seems to be info about the when this could happen.
If sources are to be believed, the iPhone 5 will be announced on October 4th in a typical Apple fashion by Tim Cook instead of ex CEO Steve Jobs. There is no mention of Steve Jobs’ presence in the event, so it could be possible that he would skip it due to health related issues.
The new CEO of Apple, Tim Cook is touted to make the important announcements which could include the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5 or both the handsets along with the new range of iPods as well. Other Apple chiefs are also said to be present during the announcement. But all of this is a rumor of course, so there’s no need to mark your calendars just yet.
Some are even mentioning the possibilities of Apple unveiling the iPad 3 at the event, but that’s yet another rumor which can’t be taken seriously. The alleged announcement date seems to go exactly in line with the October 15th launch date of the handset as mentioned by the chief of France Telecom. The iPhone 4 which was rolled out last year managed to find a huge fan base which has been steadily growing ever since the first iPhone’s inception.
And the build up to the iPhone 5 has just made us all the more excited. According to the rumors that have surfaced so far, we can point out that the iPhone 5 could have a bigger display, a better camera and an improved design, perhaps with rounded edges.
The Gold Master release of iOS will be made available on September 23rd, which again goes very well with the October 4th announcement date. It is good to know that Apple will finally put months of speculations and rumors to rest once and for all, though the actual announcement dates could differ.
