Top 5 smartphones to watch out next month

We have been bomarded with a slew of smartphones and with the promise of more arriving shortly, picking one over the other becomes quite challenging. So, if you are in the market looking for a smartphone, we suggest holding your horses till next month. With the diwali festivities around the corner, the manufacturers are planning quite a few exciting launches.

Here is the list of amazing devices we are hoping to see next month.




1. Acer Iconia Smart: Acer is all set to launch its Android smartphone Acer Iconia Smart  this October. The phone comes equipped with 4.8-inch display with 480 x 1024 pixel resolution. This handset runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. The Acer Iconia Smart is powered with 1Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It has 512MB RAM, 8-megapixel rear and 1.3-megapixel front facing camera. This is a 3G handset and it has a microSD card slot as well. The price of this handset will be around Rs. 32,000.

2. Google Nexus Prime: According to the Korean-language Electronic Times, Google is all set to launch its 3rd generation Android operated smartphone in October. The Google Nexus Prime will be the first phone to have Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. This handset would be powered with 1.5Ghz dual core processor. Its display would be 4.5-inch. Much information is not available about this handset including its price.  

3. HTC Sensation Xe: In competition with the iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S2, HTC has also decided to launch its three more handsets, Sensation Xe and two Windows phone 7 Titan and Radar. Windows Phone have not been launched in India so the later two phones might take some more time but Sensation Xe is expected to arrive in October. This handset will run on Android 2.3 OS and it will have 1.5 Ghz dual-core processor and 8-megapixel camera. The price is not known so far.

4.Samsung Wave 3: Samsung is all set to launch its one more Wave series handset ‘Samsung Wave 3’ with Bada 2.0 OS. This handset packs a 1.4 GHz processor, 4-inch super AMOLED display and 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash. It also has a front facing VGA camera and 3GB internal memory. It is equipped with microSD card slot as well and it has Bluetooth 3.0. This handset sports the Wi-Fi and 1500mAh battery.  

5.iPhone 5: A France Telecom CEO recently updated that iPhone5 will arrive in France on 15 October. Other reports also claim that October is the expected month for the launch of iPhone 5.  First of all it is reported that it will have 8-megapixel camera, then it will be powered with A5 dual-core processor. But we are still waiting for the official announcement.
