Chinese telecom giant G’Five is set to enter the tablet market with its first tablet - a budget Android device this month. G’Five has already announced that the tablet would be priced below Rs. 10,000 and would be available at G’Five’s exclusive Mobispots all over the country.

The budget tablet is developing into a diverse market. The G’Five tablet joins the ranks of successful budget tablets such as the Reliance 3G Tab and the Beetel Magiq tablet.

Still, Arshit Pathak, MD, Kingtech Electronics commented last month- "Both the Android and Windows-based tablet computing devices shall be launched in India. These shall be Wi-Fi and 3G powered and the price range will be below Rs. 10,000 - shattering the price barrier once again.”

His statements have leaded us to believe that the tablet might be released towards the end of this month.

Until now, not much about the specs of this tablet has been confirmed, but we can still make some educated guesses about this tablet.

Since, the G’Five tablet would be competing with other tablets of the same scale, it should incorporate both 3G and Wi-Fi capabilities. Being placed in the processor section, but we are expecting an 800 MHz Snapdragon or a 1 GHz Qualcomm processor.

While we would like the tablet to be equipped with the newest version of its Android OS, the tablet might just be an Android 2.2- Froyo OS or Android 2.1 – Éclair device.

Its price bracket also determines that it might come with a screen size not more than 7 inches.

The G’Five tablet has been in the news since May. G’Five’s Vice-President, Mr. Jaideep Chopra had announced back then that the tablet would release in June. Until now, no release date can be confirmed about the G’Five tablet.
