Samsung's super smartphone Galaxy S II continues to ride high doubling up the sales from five million to 10 million in just eight weeks

Samsung’s flagship smartphone, galaxy SII continues to break records. According to the company the smartphone has achieved doubled by its global channel sales to 10 million in just eight weeks.
JK Shin, President and Head of Samsung's Mobile Communications Business said,"since its launch in late April 2011, the GALAXY S II has seen continued sales success, demonstrating Samsung’s industry-leading capabilities in - and commitment to - the smartphone market."
He further added, "in just five months the Galaxy S II has seen tremendous growth, reflecting its tremendous popularity with customers around the world, who in selecting the Galaxy S II as their device of choice have driven the device’s strong market position globally."
Samsung Galaxy S ll too the smartphone market with storm and continues to enjoy glacial popularity. As the world’s slimmest handsets, the attractive handset with its impressive specifications, combined both fun and functionality for the consumers.
The device flaunts a 4.27-inches Super AMOLED Plus display, a 8-megapixels camera with 1080p video recording capabilities and a 2-megapixels front camera. Running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the device is powered by a dual core processor and includes Touchwiz 4.0, which makes for a smooth and seamless navigation.
The next generation smartphone also includes Samsung’s four content and entertainment hubs, seamlessly integrated to provide instant access to music, games, e-reading and social networking services.
The Galaxy S II surpassed its predecessor Samsung Galaxy S and with the rumors of a Galaxy S3 in the pipeline everybody is waiting with bated breathe to the launch of the next mega superphone.
In comparison to its sibling Galaxy S2, Galaxy S3 is rumored to come packed with a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen, a 12-mega pixel plus camera a Android Ice-cream Sandwich operating system. The device will also support Near Field Communication technology and 4G capabilities.
