Research In Motion (RIM)is all set to unveil it next OS 7 powered device for Indian smartphone lovers today. We are leaning towards a Storm 3 or Curve 9360.
Company’s Co-CEO’s, Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis have already promised that the company would launch 7 new handsets running on OS 7 this year.
We have the launch of three handsets in India so far, Blackberry Bold 9900, Blackberry Torch 9810, and Blackberry Torch 9860, with the release of the next BlackBerry device, the tally will be four. That still leaves us with three more goodies in line for next three months.
According to the speculations if it is the Curve series handset then it would be expected to pack in killer looks, impressive specs and a budget price. BlackBerry Curve 9360 sports a Qwerty keyboard and navigation track-pad. Equipped with a 2.4-inch screen display, the BlackBerry Curve will be a choice for Blackberry users across who want a budget phone packed with usability, affordability and great social networking tools.
Storm is also a strong contender for today's race. The high-end handset from Blackberry is expected to feature a 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen. It will be powered by a 1.2Ghz processor and 512MB of RAM. The smartphone will sport a 5-mega pixel camera capable of 720p video recording, 8GB storage along with excellent connectivity options through Bluetooth 2.1 and more.
We will have to wait and watch to see what Blackberry finally unveils. Stay tuned for the updates.
