ZTE T98 with Tegra 3 spotted

Things are hotting up global tablet market. While a significant portion of market is feeding on phenomenal success of Apple's iPad and Samsung's Galaxy Tab, a reasonable fraction of it is not fearing from trying out other options available in market.

Yes, ZTE T98 is the new model on the block. Spotted in Beijing, the device reportedly is carrying NVIDIA Tegra 3 version. This puts an end to all the reports and rumors that suggested Asus Eee Pad Transformer 2 will be the first Tegra 3 device. However, ZTE's sudden emergence as the first Tegra 3 device has taken everyone by surprise. The company displayed its tablet at PT/Expo Comm China.

According to Pocket Lint, the ZTE T98 tablet runs on Android 3.2 OS (Operating System) which makes using this device, a pure delight. Of course, the tablet is powered by the all new NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor (4+1 cores).

However, there is no word on its pricing yet. Similarly, the device's launch date too has been kept under wraps. Going by ZTE's track record, the tablet is expected to be remodeled and launched in various regional markets with different names.

ZTE T98 is a 7-inch tablet that possesses a 1280 X 800 touch display. The device has been given 1 GB RAM and comes with an embedded storage space of 16 GB.

For users who love to click pictures or shoot crystal clear videos, a 5-mega pixel snapper at the back has been provided. While users who frequently engage in video calling sessions will be delighted to know that ZTE T98 also has a 2 MP front face shooter. In terms of vital stats, ZTE T98 has a 11.5 mm thick body. It carries a 400 mAh battery and a 3G Modem.
