With less than a week to go, Apple has followed tradition in sending out invites to the media for its big event with just a few days to spare. The excitement is building up and the world is waiting with baited breath for the release of the next generation iPhone 5.
Titled ‘Let’s talk iPhone’, the invite talks about the event that experts are predicting will unveil the iPhone 5 at Apple’s chosen store in London and it’s headquarters in Cupertino, California. As always, details are sketchy and Apple is not sharing any more information than is strictly necessary. Still, analysts are sure that the company will be bringing in some new and exciting features with the iPhone 5.
A bigger screen and built in voice recognition are characters that fans feel are going to set the iPhone 5 apart from its processors. An 8-mega pixel camera is rumoured to be taking the phone to the next level. Apple’s A5 processor chip and iCloud service are expected on the smartphone too. Even the screen of the phone is supposed to be scratch and shatter proof. An extended battery life and wireless synching with iTunes will be welcome as well. What’s more, the iPhone might just be a world phone!
Something else that is holding the interest of people the world over is the fact that this is the first big event that Apple’s new chief Tim Cook will be presiding over. All eyes will be on him, watching how he fits into Steve Jobs’s shoes.
This month is going to be a very important one for Apple and in anticipation, even the company’s stocks have shot up this week. Samsung and Google, are you watching?
