Leaked: Apple iPhone 5 revealed in a video

We can’t have enough of iPhone 5 rumors/leaks, especially when the announcement is fast approaching. And to add to the list of leaks that we have come across, there’s another leak, but this time in the form of a video showing the iPhone 5 unlocking and running an application.

The demonstrator briefly starts the video by unlocking the device, where we can make out that the device is running on iOS 5 (notice the notification appearing on the lockscreen). Well, that just makes the video seem more convincing and authentic.

But all that aside, nothing much seems to have changed in terms of icons and user interface. The Gold Master version of iOS 5 is expected sometime during the next week which is when the new iPhone is expected to be announced.

The video sheds light on a couple of things. Firstly, the display size has noticeably increased as it was previously rumored.

Though we cannot make out the exact size of the display, it seems like a 3.7 inch display with an edge to edge fit. The whole body isn’t entirely different from the iPhone 4, so this could well be the iPhone 4S.

The demonstrator failed to show the back portion of the device, which is disappointing since it would have confirmed whether the video was fake or real. Either way, it’s tempting enough to just look at the video and believe for once that this is the real deal. But bear in mind that this could well be an early prototype or something different, so let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

The new iPhone is believed to come with a few upgraded specs like a faster Apple A5 processor with better GPU, upgraded RAM (1GB rumored), 8-mega pixel camera with 1080p video recording capabilities and a bigger display.

We aren’t sure if any of these rumored specs will be seen in the new iPhone but it does seem plausible. What do you think of this leaked video? Genuine or fake?
