Asus reveals its TOUGH tablet

Asus, a computer peripheral maker recently revealed its up-coming Android tablet device “TOUGH.”  Running on Honeycomb 3.2 OS, this device is water proof and dust resistant.

If we talk about its tech specs then this tab is equipped with 7-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800. It is powered with dual-core 1GHz Tegra 2 Processor. It has 16GB of built-in internal storage memory. The tablet has a 5-megapixel rear camera as well. Front facing camera is however missing. Along with this, it is equipped with EVDO, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and WiMax.

The tab is equipped with almost all features that are enough to compete with the other tablets floating in the market today. But in all these aspects its protection from water and dust really stands out.

The tablet looks pretty smart and good for those who want something durable. Another good thing about this device is that it has USB port and a microSD card slot. So, by using the microSD card its memory can be expandable, but till what limit that is not known so far.

Well a lot of things remain under tight wraps like the battery backup and user interface.

The price of this device and it's arrival in Asia pacific is not yet known as well.
