iPhone 5 to master your voice

Expectations are riding high from Apple’s latest offering, rumoured to be launching next week. Investors and analysts like Jason Schwartz and Gene Munster feel that it’s voice recognition feature is going to take it places never visited by smartphones before.

According to Phonearena, Jason Schwartz feels that the iPhone 5 will support “the most revolutionary interface in the history of technology” in the form of its deep voice recognition feature.  He feels that the invite to the October 4 event might have hidden meaning in the words “Let’s talk iPhone”

Slashgear reported Gene Munster talking about the much anticipated Apple event next week , “The phrase on this year’s invite, ‘Let’s talk iPhone,’ may be a simple play on words, but may also refer to new speech-based features for the iPhone.”

If the analysts are correct, the voice recognition feature of the iPhone 5 will take it a notch above Android and Samsung smartphones.

Apparently, not only does the phone respond to voice commands, users can even tell their phone to send a text message or carry out a seach on the internet without even touching the device.

What’s more, even the message that has to be texted can be dictated to the phone by the user without having to hold it in his hands.

The analysts might just be bang on in their assumptions. After all, Apple did acquire Siri, the voice recognition system, last year. Moreover, rumours are rife about the iPhone 5 supporting 1 GB of RAM. Many feel that the RAM, combined with the A5 chipset, will make voice recognition an unbeatable feature on the iPhone 5.

Whether or not the iPhone 5 will actually live up to the many expectations the world has set for it, is something that can only be decided post October 4. The coming week is going to be a very exciting one indeed!
