Google is in the news again. It seems Google is ready to launch its next-of-the-line Google Nexus Prime and it is none other than Samsung’s own GT-19250, according to a leak by GSM Arena.

There is much about the Google Nexus Prime that makes it a phone to look out for. It is touted to be the first mobile to run on the Android 4.0 - Ice cream Sandwich OS. It also might come with Samsung’s famous AMOLED screen with a resolution of 480 x 800.

Going by the rumors, it might be powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor.

But one thing sticks out. Google recently acquired mobile giant Motorola Mobility; Google has pretty much everything in its kitty to produce a top-end phone. So, why would it opt for a Samsung handset for its next Nexus phone? And why would it debut the much-anticipated Ice Cream Sandwich OS with a Samsung phone?

Well the reason behind this is seen to be that the Google-Motorola contracts haven’t been yet finalized and as Google has been planning the launch of the Google Nexus Prime for long, it wouldn’t like to delay the handset.

Also, there is a possibility that Google might be just getting the Ice Cream Sandwich OS out of the way as it is concentrating on the Jelly Bean OS which is said to be the most advanced Android OS till date.

Samsung is expected to reveal its Ice Cream Sandwich OS enabled at the Samsung Mobile unpacked event on October 11,2011.

The release of the Samsung GT-19250 handset would be an answer from both Samsung and Google to Apple’s iOS5 and iPhone 4S.
