Apple CEO Steve Jobs passes away

Published on Oct 6, 2011

It is a shock that still needs to be absorbed. Steve Jobs’ passing away so soon after the iPhone 4S announcement has left us overwhelmed. Steve Jobs has left behind a heritage that few would be able to match up to.

Apple’s official condolence on the website sums it all:

Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.

The lets talk iPhone event had already started to make us miss Steve. Jobs was a man of multiple endeavors. He had his own successes and failures. What made him great was not only his capacity to invent new products, in fact it was more the kind of person he was.

Know Your Mobile brings you the best of Steve, over the years:

Jobs could even make his closest competitors smile with his charm.

Jobs had his own perspective of every Apple product. Here he compares the Mac to a Picasso painting.

Jobs could even answer his harshest critics with the best understanding.

Jobs was never afraid to speak what he thought. Here he openly derides Microsoft for its lack of originality.

Jobs had his own problems. Here we see him grappling with an Internet connection during the launch of iPhone 4.

Jobs was a leader like no other. We would like to end the article with his own mincing of words –“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary”
