HTC has recently announced its latest smartphone Sensation XL running Android 2.3 Gingerbread and embedded with Beats Audio features at the Beats Event in London. It is the fourth handset from the brand under the Sensation brand after the Sensation, Sensation 4G and Sensation XE.
HTC has provided this handset a large 4.7-inches Super LCD touchscreen display that sports Gorilla Glass technology. Besides, its display offers marvelous pixel resolution with WVGA(800x480) . The new version of HTC Sensation comes under in the measurements of 132.5mm x 70.7mm x 9.9 mm.
The latest smartphone from the brand runs a single-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 processor along with Adreno 205 graphics chip and 768 MB RAM for high speed muti-tasking. A combination of hardware this device embeds is decent enough for the latest Android 2.3.x Gingerbread update along with layer of HTC Sense 3.5, for an amazing experience.
The new Sensation XL comes with a default 16 GB internal memory out of which only 12.64 GB is actually available to the users. However, there is an option to enhance the memory available through a micro SD card slot that allows up to 32 GB memory card. Besides, surprisingly the device supports the m4a and m4v file formats that are basically used in the Apple iOS running gizmos to offer excellent quality Audio and Video.
To add some more interesting musical features HTC has added Beats Audio music profiles and offering the device with line-in remote and microphone. Most interestingly, the Beats profiles are loaded as soon as they get plugged in to the mobile phone, using its the 3.5mm audio port. It makes this handset a treat for the music lovers.
The HTC smartphone equips an 8-megapixel snapper with dual-LED flash and a 28mm f/2.2 lens that is capable of clicking marvelous pictures and also to record 720p HD videos. Not only this, but the fabulous device also sports a 1.3-megapixel front facing camera for video calling or video chat features.
Some of the most interesting specs of this device are gyroscopic sensor, digital compass, proximity sensor, G-sensor and ambient light sensor. The Sensation XL comes power packed with a 1600mAh battery that offers up to 12 hours long talk time on 2G networks while 7 hours of talk time on 3G.
The brand has not yet disclosed its price but is soon expected to hit the stores in the Q4 this year.
