The Blackberry Bold 9900, one of the first OS 7 powered smartphones to hit the Indian market is back in news. The super smartphone which sports a 2.8-inch VGA capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 640 x 480 and 287ppi, 5 mega-pixel camera and Near Field Communication (NFC) support has been spotted in a 'white avatar'.
According to Berry-Wd, the white bold 99000 smartphone was spotted in Dubai, United Arab Emirates at a technical exhibition. Crackberry feels that, "It could be after market parts, or it could be the real deal considering this is not the first time we've heard of such things."
Well it is better to take it with a pinch of salt, specially as no official confirmation has come through from either the company or the carriers.
Looking at the picture, we can see there is a strong resemblance to the Bold 9900 which is currently available in black color. The white casing and keys definitely look great and if this picture is true, the BlackBerry users will be happy to have a choice.
Priced at Rs 32,500 BlackBerry Bold 9900 packs in a slew of exciting features. It's vibrant graphics coupled with a capacitive touch interface, gives the added advantage to Blackberry users who like to text and touch. Supporting a 4G networks, with HSPA+ data connectivity, the smartphone includes a powerful 1.2 GHz processor.
That is not all, the device packs in a 768 MB of RAM and comes with a internal memory of 8GB and an external expandable memory up to 32GB.
The main highlight of the device apart from the well placed specs is the latest OS7 version. While working on the new operating system you will instantly notice that it is a lot less bulkier than the OS 6.
Packing in some exciting functionality, the new OS7 comes equipped with the liquid graphic interface, an upgraded CPU and GPU capabilities and refreshed icons and application updates.
