iPhone 4S breaks record; over 1 million pre-orders

According to Apple in just 24 hours the company has been flooded with over 1 million orders for iPhone 4S. This is a new benchmark for the company and surpasses the previous record of 600,000 orders for iPhone 4 in a single day.

“We are blown away with the incredible customer response to iPhone4S” said, Philip Schiller, Apple senior vice president of worldwide product marketing. He further added, “the first day pre-orders for iphone 4S have been the most for any new product that Apple has ever launched and we are thrilled that customer love iPhone 4S as much as we do."

The iPhone 4S looks very similar to the iPhone 4, but from the software point of view the iPhone 4S comes with a lot of new features. The handset which has been available for pre-order since Friday will now be available in the retail shops as well.

Till now iPhone 4 was Apple’s best handset, but now the next model of  iPhone 4S has surpassed the record of the previous iPhones. But whether it will break the record at retail shops or not that we will see in just a few next days.

It must be a relief for the company that iPhone lovers are showing such a great interest in their next generation phone, even though they were anticipating iPhone 5.
