Samsung announced that its Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy SII smartphones have achieved a combined total of 30 million global sales.
Galaxy SII, Samsung’s flagship smartphone continues to ride in popularity. A highly stylish, ultra slim device, Samsung Galaxy S2 flaunts a 4.27-inches Super AMOLED Plus display, a 8-megapixel camera with 1080p video recording capabilities and a 2-megapixels front camera. A Android 2.3 Gingerbread powered device, its dual core processor and Touchwiz 4.0 makes it India's most desirable smartphone.
It's sibling Galaxy S is no less. Launched in 2010, the device has almost reached almost 20 million sales, making it the highest-selling mobile device in Samsung’s portfolio to date.
JK Shin, President and Head of Samsung's Mobile Communications Business, said, "since its launch only five months ago, GALAXY SII has seen tremendous sales success and garnered enthusiastic reviews from consumers and mobile industry watchers across the globe. This is in addition to the continued sales momentum behind GALAXY S, which we launched at CTIA 2010 as continues to be a run-away success with consumers.
He further added," the phenomenal success of these smartphones once again demonstrates how the GALAXY S smartphones is setting the standard for smart mobile technology around the world.”
Going by the numbers, both the smartphones may be breaking in more records going forwards.
