Japanese operator NTT Docomo reveals Galaxy Nexus in full glory, rumored specs confirmed
Published on Oct 18, 2011
Galaxy Nexus has arrived friends, accidentally off course. Looks like Japanese operator NTT Docomo couldn't hold the excitement.
In a leaked Docomo flyer posted on a Japanese site, Galaxy Nexus image and specs have been disclosed.
According to Sammy hub who picked the image, the Galaxy Nexus will as rumored run on the Android Ice Cream Sandwich and sport a gigantic 4.7-inch 1280×720 Super AMOLED HD display.
The super smartphone will be powered by Texas Instruments’OMAP4460 1.2GHz dual-core processor.
Disappointingly the confirmed specs include the 5-mega pixel ( we were really hoping for 8-mega pixel) with full HD video recording support, and a 1.3-mega pixel front facing camera.
The device further comes equipped with a NFC, 1GB of RAM and 32GB storage. Coupled with 14.4Mbps HSDPA, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS it does not come as a surprise why Galaxy Nexus is being touted as a iPhone killer.
NTT Docomo has also confirmed the launch of the device in Japan next month.
We are happy that most of the rumors about Galaxy Nexus turned out to be true. Stay tuned for more details about Galaxy Nexus on our live blog.
