Dag Kittlaus, chief executive and co-founder of Siri, the company behind the Apple’s iPhone 4S voice controlled application Siri Assistant, has made his ways part from the company.
Kittlaus carried on to lead Siri’s voice recognition development for Apple, when the Cupertino-based technology company purchased the company last year in the month of April.
Kittlaus’ part his ways from the brand has been described as ‘amicable’ and was allegedly a part of the long term plan, as per the sources from AllthingsD.
It appears as an interest in analyzing other entrepreneurial ideas and a craving to spend more time with his family were the basic reasons for his departure. All this supposedly happened soon after after the iPhone 4S was released.
The Siri voice assistant has been the subject of most critical approbation since the release of iPhone 4S in the last month.
The key feature is the intelligence behind the system, for instance, if the user asks it to schedule an appointment in his calendar where he already have one. Then in that case Siri will ask the user, which appointment you want to reschedule.
In-fact, if a user ask it to the device to call a contact using a nickname it will ask, which contact he would like to associate that word with in future.
However, it’s not yet perfect, but this is one of the more high-tech voice-activated services available at present.
The only actual problem is that, at present, for some of the more useful attributes such as, those based on mapping and location do not support in the UK.
Although, we’ve no doubt that Apple will shortly enable these features for the UK customers as well.
