It seems like ages have passed since we used to get excited about the launch of a Nokia handset. But in a twist to the ordinary, Nokia has come out with its first Windows Phone 7 OS handset – the Nokia Lumia 800. The Lumia 800 along with the Lumia 710 is a phone designed to thrill. Besides a completely new  form factor, it is packed with many features along with a Windows OS.

But, it gets even more exciting. It has been reported that in a bid to make its phones more exciting Nokia has a deal place with Electronic Arts (EA) to render exclusive games for Nokia WP7 handsets.

A note has been released by EA to the same effect:

“We’ll be designing our games for an awe-inspiring experience on Windows Phone for Nokia. That’s the best games for free plus exclusive content for Nokia users. It’s a big win for Nokia’s consumers worldwide”

Furthermore, it is reported that Nokia would garner 20 titles from EA. Combined with Windows Phone 7, such endeavors on the part of Nokia do seem great, but it remains to be seen if Nokia would ever pick up where it left off.

That said, we would still appreciate this move on the part of Nokia. EA sports is a well-known brand in games and whether it be cricket or basketball, most people have played the EA version of these games some or the other time in their life.

Nokia has much way to go to gain back its position of the global leader in mobile phones but it . We are, in fact, quite excited about the new Nokia range.

The Nokia Lumia range is expected to hit Indian shores in December. While the Nokia 800 is expected to be priced around 30-35 K, the 710 is expected to be priced around 25 K.
