Motorola India confirms RAZR launch next week

There were already rumours around for Motorola RAZR launch for the next week, when BGR India got an official statement from the company. It has confirmed the launch of the device in India this month.

Although, Motorola Mobility has not yet told the exact release date and price of the smartphone.

The new RAZR will be released running Android 2.3 Gingerbread. However, the brand has confirmed last week that Motorola RAZR, Bionic and XOOM will get the Ice Cream Sandwich update in early 2012.

In-fact, Motorola Mobility is likely to launch a few other Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich gadgets, soon after the release final version Google's mobile platform.

The latest handset from the company will be the slimmest smartphones available on the market. It is just 7.1mm thick has a marvelous design.

Motorola smartphone sports a charming 4.3-inch Super AMOLED screen with 540 x 960 pixels resolution for crisp view and also supports up to 16 million colors.

Motorola RAZR comes equipped with KEVLAR fiber and Corning Gorilla Glass screen that is scratch resistant. Besides, it is also waterproof as it sports a splash-guard coating on both outside as well as inside.

RAZR embeds Motocast application, which let you download content from your PC directly to the RAZR, at great ease.

When it comes to Hardware, Motorola RAZR includes a 1.2 GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4430 processor, a PowerVR SGX540 graphics processing unit. Besides, memory space is also not a problem with this device as it has 16 GB of internal storage, 1 GB of RAM and it also has a microSD card slot for additional memory.
