In a bid to regain its popularity and market share, RIM has introduced several new powerful smartphones this year, replacing its aging fleet. Getting grip (finally!) on the consumer needs which revolves around "what's new", the Canadian manufacturer unleashed several OS 7 powered smartphones (Blackberry Bold 9900, Blackberry Torch 9810, Blackberry Torch 9860, Blackberry Curve 9360) in the Indian market recently.

The company is now gearing up to launch another OS 7 powered device, BlackBerry Bold 9790. We had earlier spotted the leaked images of Bold 9790  earlier and now some more pictures have surfaced on the Crackberry site.

This time around we get to be upclose and personal with the device. The pictures gives us a good look at the front as well as the back of the smartphone. The new pictures spell a possible official launch soon.

Blackberry Bold 9790

Blackberry Bold 9790 seems to branch out from the Bold 9900. Packing in both a touchscreen as well as a full QWERTY keypad,  Bold 9790 will be powered by OS 7 offering consumers the the second-gen BlackBerry WebKit browser.

Packing in a powerful 1.2GHz single-core processor, 768MB RAM memory, Blackberry Bold 9790 will also include a 5- mega pixel snapper. It's onboard 8 GB memory can be extended to 40GB using the micro SD slot. There is no official word on the battery back up yet. Hopefully, RIM has worked on its low battery problems and will surprise us with Blackberry Bold 9790.

Apart from Blackberry Bold 9790, Blackberry Curve 9380 which was leaked earlier is also in the pipeline for this year.

We are also aware that RIM is moving to the new BBX platform, so be on the lookout for the new BBX powered supersmartphones.
