The gadget crazy geeks will agree that this has been probably the most exciting year so far. From witnessing the world's first thinnest smartphone, dual core smartphones to the latest iteration of Google's Android , Blackberry OS 7, Apple iOS 5, this year has been nothing less than a treat. And if you thought you have seen the best this year, you couldn't be more wrong.
The latest buzz about Nvidia's Tegra 3 (a quad core processor that works out on both the tablets and smartphones) running tablet - Asus Eee Pad Transformer 2 aka Transformer Prime is setting the internet abuzz.
The device will break cover on November 9 according to the recently published Asus Q3 fiscal report. Asus executive Jonney Shih had earlier confirmed that the tablet will be “Nvidia’s quad core processor” a and will be stunningly slim at 8.3mm at the AsiaD conference hosted by All Things D earlier last month.
However mystery continues to surround the dimensions, resolution, camera capabilities of this super tablet. There is no official word on its India launch but we expect to see the Transformer 2 arrive early next year. Featuring Android Ice Cream Sandwich, Transformer Prime is the successor to the popular honeycomb powered tablet Asus Eee Pad Transformer.
In its Q3 report, Asus also revealed its future products. According to the report the world’s best notebook manufacturers will introduce two new Googles Android operated tablets early 2012. While no further information was revealed, rumors floating around indicate that one of the Android tablets could be the successor to the popular ASUS Eee Pad Slider and the other ASUS PadFone.
The other products in the pipeline include two Windows 8 running tablets. Expected to be launched in fall 2012, we expect to see few more devices in between the Android and Windows 8 tablets.
We are all excited to see the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime reveal itself and also market's response to the quad core tablet.
