Sony Ericsson's Xperia line get Android 2.3.4 across the globe
Published on Nov 4, 2011
Sony Ericsson has recently revealed a few updates for its popular Xperia smartphones. All eligible Xperia handsets worldwide, also the Live with Walkman, will be getting a software upgrade to Gingerbread 2.3.4. This update will bring along a Swype kind of gesture input for text and make texting much easier and faster for the users. With this users don't have to lift a finger to enter words.
Besides, you can also enable the automatic spacing and input texts even faster. All languages of the international keyboard are supported with Gesture input.
These attributes won't be available on all models due to unsupportive hardware or some other restrictions. The reasons might be like the lack of Google Talk video chat on models without a front-facing camera. The Xperia Play will not be able to get 3D panorama sweep for its camera, however, it will get HD video recording.
A few other improvements comprises updated 16X digital video zoom, Facebook inside Xperia, the ability to connect to the Sony Ericsson LiveDock and peripherals along with HDTV through its HDMI output. A better screen capture functionality, DLNA media sharing will also be there which might be new for some.
