MediaTek partners with Spice and Micromax to bring Facebook to smart-feature phones

The globally renowned  mobile chipset platform providing company, MediaTek has forged a global partnership that will bring excellent Facebook integration to company's mobile platform solutions. The move will enable users in the emerging markets to access their Facebook accounts for the first time through affordable devices.

The latest platform the company has brought is known as, MediaTek's Runtime Environment (MRE). It is the middle-ware technology particularly designed for mobile phone developers as well as application providers to unfold the content and services for Smart-feature phones.

MRE will also allow the users to enjoy the rich online experience that was limited earlier to smartphones only, till now. 

''Our new  partnership with Facebook further reinforces MediaTek's focus on providing differentiated services and value for handset brands, giving them the means to offer affordable, compelling and differentiated mobiles solutions to consumers in key emerging markets in India," said Cheng-Te Chuang, corporate Vice President of MediaTek.

MediaTeck has now ventured with two of the leading Indian mobile phone brands, Micromax and Spice Mobility to offer smart-like phones at pocket friendly prices.
