Dual core powered Android smartphone Micromax A85 Superfone to launch this month; pops up online for Rs 18990

India's home grown dual core device, Micromax A85 made news across the internet when it first surfaced in September. Designed keeping in mind both your personal and professional needs, Micromax A85 packs in stunning specs and looks that don't fail to impress. According to our sources, the superfone is gearing up for a launch this month. With A85 Superfone, Micromax breaks into the mid level market, having earlier concentrated its efforts in the low-range feature rich handsets market.

Powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 processor and Android Froyo OS (we are crossing our fingers that there is a Gingerbread update), Micromax A85 comes equipped with a 3.8-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels.

The device sports a 512 MB RAM and comes loaded with a unique motion sensor that promises to excite mobile users. Strapped at the back of this Micromax phone is a single touch 5 megapixel camera with a 7.2x zoom camera along with a front facing secondary camera to make those video calls. Micromax A85 allows you to even record videos that support a wide-screen video feature.

The device packs in a descent 1500 mAh battery that provides a talk time of up to 3 hours and a standby time of up to 250 hours. This mobile phone has an internal memory of 8 GB which can be expandable up to 32 GB using microSD, microSDHC cards.

Coming to the multimedia capabilities, Micromax A85 superfone has a capable music player that supports MP3, WAV and AAC formats while the video player supports MP4, H.263 and 3GP formats. An integrated FM radio allows you to tune in to your favorite radio stations on the go.

The Micromax A85 also provides great connectivity options. It supports GPRS, 3G and Wi-Fi platforms to connect to the Internet. The device also  supports Email and Push Email and supports Document Viewer, Document Editor, and Fax to keep you connected with your work space at any time.
