
Huawei MediaPad arrives in India for Rs 28,359

Chinese manufacturer Huawei unveils its Honeycomb powered tablet MediaPad for the tablet lovers in India. Priced at Rs 28,359, the 7" tablet sports a 1.2GHz Qualcomm dual core processor and is powered by a Android 3.2 operating system

The Chinese telecom company has introduced its much talked about 7 inch tablet, MediaPad for the Indian audience. Chetan Bhagat, Brand Associate unveiled the highly awaited device along with two new generation cloud phones - Huawei Sonicand Huawei IDEOS X3 for the tech and style oriented Indian audiences.
Priced at Rs 28,359, MediaPad is powered by a dual core 1.2GHz processor with 1080p HD video playback and comes equipped with the latest Android Honeycomb operating system.
Sporting a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera and a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, MediaPad packs in a 3GB free data download for 3 months from Aircel. The MediaPad also comes with 3G, Wi-Fi and HSPA+ (14.4Mbps) connectivity.
Powered by a long lasting 4100 mAh battery, MediaPad comes equipped with a 16GB internal memory which can be further expanded using a miroSD card. Designed with the new social-networking needs of people, MediaPad comes integrated with Facebook, Twitter, Let’s Golf and Documents to Go among other handy apps.
The device is expected to go on retail soon though the exact date remains unknown.
MediaPad was first announced way back in June at the CommunicAsia 2011. It competes with Samsung Galaxy Tab, Apple iPad 2, Motoroloa Xoom, BlackBerry PlayBook among others for share "tablet-love".
