HTC takes the lead in the rumor and leak category. After the recent HTC Edge leak we now have another goodie from the Taiwan based company. The latest leak is not that of a ordinary device, rather the powerful device indicates almost "too good to be true" specs. Don't believe us?
Codenamed Zeta, this HTC device will be powered up Android's latest iteration Ice Cream Sandwich. Running under the hood of the device is a insane 2.5 gigahertz Snapdragon processor. And that's not all, the device will also pack in a 32GB of built-in storage - seriously? We will take this with a grain of salt.
According to Engadget folks who got their hands on the imagery and specs, HTC Zeta will be seen sporting a 4.5-inch 720p HD display. Measuring 109.8 x 60.9 x 9.8mm and weighing 146g, HTC Zeta will come strapped to a 8-mega pixel rear camera and a 1.3-mega pixel front-facing camera with dual LED flash, 1080p video capabilities. A long lasting battery of 1,830mAh battery in addition to Beats Audio, Bluetooth 4.0 will also be seen on the device.
According to Engadget, "the sharp corners would be a huge departure from HTC's recent design choices, though it appears to have HTC's signature unibody build in the back. So are we just looking at a cool concept or is this the next flagship phone?."
Pricing and its tentative launch date has not been disclosed. If this device packs in all that it says, it will be very difficult to keep this all mighty device under veil for long. Maybe it will pop up at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in February. We will have to wait and watch till then.
Apart from HTC's first quad core smartphone, HTC Edge recently HTC Ville also surfaced online. Running on Android 4.0, the HTC smartphone will pack in a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Series 4 (Krait) processor along with a 8-megapixel rear camera with a back-illuminated sensor.
