Nokia to unveil Symbian Carla and Donna

At a developers meet in Mexico, Nokia gave a glance of the upcoming future of Symbian. The producer is in a slide of the presentation seems working with Symbian Carla and Donna operating systems, according to a post on All about phones.

A picture of the PowerPoint presentation shown at the developers meet is on Twitter. The developer was present at the Mexican Nokia Developer Day, where the two new updates from Symbian were discussed.

The first update is dubbed as Symbian Carla, which will have a new browser with number 8.0. Moreover, it will offer excellent Dolby surround sound and not only this but it will also feature NFC with improved functionality. The Carla operating system will also offer better widgets to the users.

Besides, Nokia also has one more update for its Symbian platform in the bag that is Donna. It will support dual-core processors and make Symbian smartphones more advanced. However, the company did not reveal some other features of the update in the presentation. Certainly, the successor to the Nokia N8 is expected to run a dual-core processor and offer an improved camera.

Nokia mentioned a while ago that by year 2012 Symbian might be running over dual-core processors, which now seems to be true.
