ASUS opens up a retail store in Chhattisgarh

Targeting customers in smaller cities and towns, ASUS Technology expands its retail presence to Bhillai in Chhattisgarh

Asus is looking at enhancing its retail presence across India. The leading international brand aims at providing access to all its upcoming and latest technology to its customers in India, even those living in small cities and towns.

It therefore did not come as a surprise, that Asus has set up a retail outlet shop in  Bhillai, Chhattisgarh. The company already has  presence in New Delhi, Kolkata, Calicut, Goa, Jaipur and Thane.

Asus is aiming at expanding its number of stores to 150 by next financial year. Mr. Alex Huang Country Head-System Business Group Asus Technology said, “ever since the initiation of our retail expansion venture, we have been further booming and have had affirmative responses in order to further strengthen our presence.Endeavoring in this region, we intend to maintain our fostering for our customers in order to provide access and to help them keep up with all the remarkable upcoming technology.”

The new outlet will host a slew of Notebooks and Netbooks including popular Android Honeycomb tablet Eee Pad Transformer.

Recently the company unveiled the world's first Android Ice Cream Sandwich powered Asus Transformer Prime. Packing in the powerful Tegra 3 processor, Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime comes equipped with a large 10.1" Super IPS+ display with scratch resistant gorilla glass.

The device straps in a 1.2 megapixel front facing camera for video calls and a powerful 8-megapixel rear camera. Sporting a thin frame at just 8.3mm, the device packs in a great battery backup of 12 hours under its hood. Packing in a 1GB of RAM, the device will be available in two variants  32GB or 64GB and will be priced accordingly, i.e 32GB for $499 (Rs. 24,941) and 64GB for $599 (Rs. 29,932).

In its recently published Q3 report, Asus also revealed its plans to introduce two new Android operated tablets in early 2012. While no further information was revealed, rumors floating around indicate that one of the Android tablets could be the successor to the popular ASUS Eee Pad Slider and the other ASUS PadFone. Also in the pipeline are two Windows 8 running tablets which will be launched somewhere in the fall next year.
