
ASUS Transformer Prime seen sporting ICS in video, official page goes live

NVIDIA’s latest YouTube video has got everyone excited with its demo of the ICS OS on the powerful quad-core ASUS Transformer Prime. The video starts off with NVIDIA’s representative confirming that the ICS OS is indeed powering the tablet. A look at the settings menu in the video removes all doubt.
The video goes on to demo the tablet’s transition effects that occur when a user moves between apps. Smooth and clear, it is followed by a demo of the device’s drag and drop feature. The drag and drop feature allows users to easily move content in and out of folders on the home screen.
What have really got tablet enthusiasts interested in the machine are the HD video playback and gaming demos. The video playback shows off crystal clear, bright images. The game demoed on the promo is RipTide, a water based racing game that brings out the ripple effect on the graphics brilliantly on the screen.
The Transformer Prime is moving closer to its arrivial in December, especially since its official page went live on the ASUS website yesterday. Though the page doesn’t talk about the tablet’s launch date or price, it does offer its pictures and specs. The feature about the Transformer Prime that has tablet loyalists excited its ability to switch into a power saving mode and turning off three of its four cores when not in use.
ASUS has got the world eagerly awaiting its tablet. With features like ICS, the Tegra 3 quad-core processor and an 8MP camera, the Transformer Prime is sure to take the tablet market by storm with its release at the end of the year. Apple, Samsung, Sony and the others are in for some tough competition indeed.
