The Samsung's flagship smartphone Galaxy S II is receiving an OTA update to Android Gingerbread 2.3.6. One of the exciting possibilities is that it could resolve the problem many users are facing with Google voice search, though it has also not yet been specified.

You can find the update in the setting menu under software updates. Its an automatic, over the air update, so all you need is a good internet connection and a charged battery to go through the process. The super powerful, Samsung Galaxy S II has been one of the popular devices from the Samsung stable, crossing 10 million mark in September itself.

First showcased at Mobile World Congress 2011, Samsung Galaxy S II sold its more than 3 million units within first 55 days in the global market, delivering tremendous sales success and garnering great reviews from consumers and mobile industry across the globe.

Sporting a 4.3-inch screen with 480 x 800 Super AMOLED display, this marvelous  slim smartphone is embedded with a powerful 1.2 GHz dual-core Exynos processor and a 1 GB RAM.

Powered by a Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS,  the Samsung mobile phone was launched with 16GB memory. The device offers a beautiful yet highly responsive touchscreen and includes the TouchWiz 4.0 user interface.
