ASUS’s Transformer Prime is probably the most sought after tablet in the tech world right now. Though it was expected to hit markets in the middle of the holiday season, an exact date was yet unknown. Newegg, one of the many sites accepting pre-orders for the device, has finally pegged December 8 as the release date for the tablet. Engadget came across the date and spread the word online.
ASUS’s latest offering has been up for pre-orders on a number of websites for a few days now. The Transformer Prime promises to be one of the smartest tablets ever with its impressive specs and its Tegra 3 processor.
In anticipation of the tablet’s release, ASUS recently unveiled its source code. The company also made public the tablet’s user manual and other downloads including USB drivers, sync app and PC suite. Users who are yet unsure about the tablet can go through its user manual to remove any doubts before making a purchase.
Besides its Tegra 3 quad-core processor, the Transformer Prime has caught the world’s attention with its operating system; developers are working on the ICS update for the device. The combination of a powerful processor and a sophisticated operating system promises to put ASUS back in the tablet game with its latest Eee Pad.
The Transformer Prime packs quite a punch with its 10.1’’ screen and 1280 x 800p resolution. Its 1GB RAM is backed by 32GB / 64GB of internal storage. Its 8MP rear camera and 1.3MP front camera are ready to take the tablet experience to new heights. For tablet lovers, the ASUS Transformer Prime Eee Pad is a must-have this season.
