Excitement. That's the word that defines the general sense of emotions surrounding the releases of Asus Transformer Prime. Packing in Nvidia's Tegra 3 quad core processor and Android Honeycomb OS with the expected Ice Cream Sandwich update in tow, the super stunning device is expected to hit the markets on December 8. The device broke cover earlier on November 9.
With the approaching launch date we are seeing the older blurry images and videos being replaced with better hands and first look video. A great walk-through video from Richie’s Room gets us up close and personal with the highly anticipated Android tablet. While the transforming tablet on a whole is quite impressive, according to Richie’s Room the "eye catching, metal finish on both the tablet and keyboard dock" and "Super IPS+ screen is a absolute winner."
It further goes on to add that, "without the keyboard, the Transformer Prime is the Android tablet we’ve all been waiting for, in form factor and performance."
Check out the hands on video:
A recap of the specs: The Transformer Prime comes equipped with a 10.1’’ screen and 1280 x 800p resolution. Its 1GB RAM is backed by 32GB / 64GB of internal storage. The powerful tablet comes strapped to a impressive 8-mega pixel snapper at the back and a 1.3-mega pixel snapper on the front.
Weighing just over 1.1kg, the tablet can snuggle into a bag, from big to small without any qualms. Being thinner (8.3mm) and lighter makes the device highly portable and a strong competitor for iPad 2. With Apple and Samsung engaged in a fierce competition, Asus Transformer Prime has its way paved for victory in the tablet market.
Priced at $499 (Rs 25,000 approx) for the 32GB and $599 (Rs 30,000 approx) for the 64GB variant, ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime is bound to be a hot favorite this holiday season.
