Lenovo IdeaTab S2005, a Android 2.3.5 powered tablet-phone hybrid launched

Lenovo's tablet cum phone hybrid is finally out. Dubbed IdeaTab S2005, the stunning beast packs in a 5-inch 800 x 480 LTPS display with 178-degree viewing angle. Under the hood of the device is a powerful Qualcomm dual-core 1.2GHz chip.

The device comes equipped with a 5-mega pixel camera on the back and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera to make video calls and chat. A powerful 1680 mAh battery, micro-USB port, micro-HDMI port and a slew of other exciting features are packed within its 9.95mm-thick body/ Weighing just 198g, the device is highly portable and can sneak in big and small bags with ease.

The price of the IdeaTab S2005 as well as its launch in India remains undisclosed. Strangely Lenovo's marketing this as a tablet rather than a phone.

According to Engadget, apart from 5-inch LePad/IdeaTab S2005 tablet-phone hybrid, Lenovo also has "launched a 7-inch and 10.1-inch slates. Dubbed as LePad S2007 and S2010 the tablets are also powered by 1.5GHz Qualcomm dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 1280 x 800 IPS display; however, Lenovo also apparently has a separate Tegra 3 tablet, the IdeaTab K2 leaked earlier this month, for the international market."

Keeping different consumer groups in mind, the company recently entered the Indian tablet market with its Ideapad K1,  IdeapadA1 and ThinkPad tablets.

Ideapad A1

The affordable tablet sports a 7-inch 1024 x 600 pixel touchscreen with Android Gingerbread OS and a 1 GHz processor. It consists of a 3-megapixel primary camera and 0.3-megapixel front-facing one.

Ideapad K1

Sports 10.1-inch 1280 x 800pixel HD touchscreen, Android Honeycomb OS,1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor and 1 GB RAM. The tablet includes a 5-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

ThinkPad

A 10.1-inch tablet with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution TFT LCD screen that is designed to be sensitive to the use of the digital pen available with the tablet. The device comes equipped with Honeycomb OS, 1 GHz processor 5-megapixel primary and a 2-megapixel secondary camera.
