There’s still some time left till the entire line up of Xperia handsets that launched this year get the Android 4.0 update, but till then Sony Ericsson wants to give out little perks to the owners. SE recently brought the Facebook Inside Xperia feature which brings forth integration with the popular social networking site.
And now the company has announced 50GB of free storage on Box.net which is a cloud based storage service. 50GB is a lot when you think about it. You can store your important files on the cloud and never run out of space, because let’s face it, 50GB is more than enough for any user.
You might remember that Apple offers 5GB of free cloud storage for iOS devices on iCloud. Users are viable to pay a hefty sum if they want the storage extended.
This feature is available for all Xperia users and it is believed that the offer will be available till December 2012. So there’s ample amount of time left. However SE could have meant December 2011 instead of December 2012, so there’s no way of knowing when the offer is going to end.
Either way, you might not want to miss out on this offer. To avail this offer, users have to download the Box.net app from the Android Market and login with the credentials or create a new account. Users will be able to store their files after the process is completed.
In other news, Marketing Manger of Sony Ericsson Italy, Maurizio De Palma has mentioned that we will get to see the Android 4.0 update for the 2011 Xperia handsets by March next year.

• Xperia neo V
• Xperia neo
