The very fact that Apple’s latest operating system has been released to developers is enough to cause a frenzy in the tech world. As always, Apple loyalists have high expectations from the new and improved version. References to a new iPhone and two new models of the iPad are over shadowed only by the reference to a spruced up Apple TV on the OS.

9TO5Mac found that the new Apple TV (3.1) has been codenamed J33 and tech experts there believe that the device might run on the powerful A5 chip that is responsible for the performance of the iPad 2 and the iPhone 4S. More than anything else, it will allow Apple TV to playback HD video with a resolution of 1080p.

Two iPad models are expected from Apple in the spring of 2012. These have been referenced to as iPad 3,3 and iPad 2,4 on the iOS 5.1 Beta. Of course one of the most exciting products that experts are anticipating is the next iPhone, codenamed iPhone 5,1 on the operating system. The display of the iPhone 5 is expected to measure 4’’, something all iPhone lovers are looking forward to.

Besides product references, iOS 5.1 Beta includes the ability to use cellular data to sync iTunes Match. New geofencing settings help to conserve battery power too. The update is also meant to fix any bugs plaguing Apple users including security issues, iCloud accounts and migrations from MobileMe.

With iOS 5.1 Beta on its way, it looks like Apple is braced to get bigger and better. It’s going to be a very exciting 2012 indeed, with the competition sure to play catch up.
