More rumors surrounding the Asus Transformer Prime make their way to the internet. Initially set for a release on December 9, it now appears that the Tegra 3 powered tablet has got another tentative date i.e December 19.
Droid Life says, "there is a chance that it will be later than the 9th (Dec) after all. That does seem sort of late though, especially knowing that Asus has an event planned for early December." The one thing that we can say for certain about the quad-core tablet is that it will release in December.
Asus’ Eee Pad Transformer Prime is definitely the top contender among all the present Android tablets. Equipped with a 10.1’’ screen and 1280 x 800p resolution, the Transformer Prime's 1GB RAM is backed by 32GB / 64GB of internal storage. Measuring 8.3mm in thinness, the device is highly portable and makes for a strong competitor for iPad 2. The device weighs just over 1.1kg and can snuggle into any bag with ease.
Apart from the Tegra 3, Quad core specs, Asus Transformer Prime wins hand down on the camera front as well. It comes strapped with a impressive 8-mega pixel snapper at the back and a 1.3-mega pixel snapper on the front. Asus posted a impressive display of Transformer Prime's camera capabilities (Full HD 1080P recording with 30frames per second) during a fashion event in Sweden.
Priced at $499 (Rs 25,000 approx) for the 32GB and $599 (Rs 30,000 approx) for the 64GB variant, ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime is bound to be a hot favorite this holiday season.
