Galaxy Nexus getting Adobe support, coming to Japan and South Korea

One of the drawbacks of the Galaxy Nexus is that it doesn’t currently offer support for Adobe Flash. But users of the smartphone have a reason to rejoice as it looks like this problem will be resolved soon. According to Adobe’s recent announcement, the company is updating Adobe Flash 11.1 and AIR 3.1 and is confident that it will be able to build support for Samsung’s smartphone within the next month.

The Galaxy Nexus has been in the news for other reasons as well. Samsung has finally announced the handset in its home turf, South Korea. What’s more, it will be offering a spare 2000 mAh battery and battery cover with the phone. Samsung refrained from pointing out an exact launch date though.

Besides South Korea, the company is all set to carve a niche for itself in Japan too. Japanese telecom operator NTT Docomo officially announced that the Galaxy Nexus will hit its stores nationwide on December 2. Pricing of the device is yet unknown, however.

Samsung loyalists are not tiring of studying the Galaxy Nexus, even though it’s been in the global market for a while now. iFixit has torn down the GSM version of the smartphone and made some interesting discoveries. Much to the excitement of its users, it was found that the phone includes a NFC-capable battery pack and a barometer, among other things. 

With the Galaxy Nexus now available in two more countries and Adobe flash for the phone on its way, it looks like the jewel in Samsung’s crown is here to stay for a long time to come. The question is what can Samsung do now to make the popular phone even more powerful?
