Nokia X2-02 unveiled: Not just another low-end dual-SIM mobile phone

In a bid to regain its budget conscious mobile users, Nokia has introduced yet another feature rich budget dual SIM offering with Nokia X2-02. Measuring 113 x 50 x 15 mm in dimensions, this light weight phone at 93g  provides easy access to social networks, email, chat and IM's.

The device features a  Easy Swap which enables the users to move between five SIM cards. The presence of a dedicated SIM manager makes it easy to swap SIM's without having to turn off and reboot the phone. Another great feature of the SIM manager is that the SIM settings for all the cards can be saved by giving each SIM a name.

Nokia X2-02 promises to bring a great audio experience for its users too. Equipped with dedicated music keys, in-built loudspeaker for music playback, the device also supports a special audio processing feature to augment music. In addition it consists of a “Play via Radio” feature that allows users to directly record songs from the radio and share the playlists with other mobile phones. With an 32GB of memory space Nokia X2-02 lets you store and play thousands of songs at any given time.

Moving on to the software part. The X2-02 runs on a Series 40 device and packs in Nokia Browser. The browser is based on the Nokia’s compression technology that utilizes cloud service to obtain a webpage and converts it into a version that is displayed on the phone.This new technology not only makes internet faster and easier but also much cheaper.

The phone sports a 2.2-inch display with 240×320 pixels resolution. Strapped with a 2-megapixel camera, the device provides standby time of up to 18.5 days and a talk time of up to 9.7 hours. Preloaded with Facebook and Twitter, users can check live status updates and tweets from friends and family.

Available in bright red, dark silver, orange, violet and ocean blue, Nokia X2-02 is priced at EUR 60 ( Rs 4000 approx). There is no official word on the release of the device in India, but we are expecting it to arrive in India early next year.
