The arrival of LG Prada K2 is official - well almost. Recently invites were sent out about the Prada and LG event on December 14, giving us clear indication that the highly anticipated offering from the powerful manufacturer LG and the world renowned fashion house Prada is on its way.
According to GSM arena, the "chic LG Prada K2 should feature a 4.3" IPS LCD capacitive display of WVGA (480 x 800) resolution, 8-mega pixel sharpshooter on the back, Android under the hood and a thin profile of 8.8 mm." While there is still mystery surrounding the processor, we are looking forward to seeing atleast a single core processor.
According to a recent FCC leak, the device will also be equipped with dual-band Wireless-N WiFi, Bluetooth, GSM/EDGE bands 850 and 1900, 1900 WCDMA band and a Prada-branded headset.
In a recent press release Patrizio Bertelli, CEO of Prada Group said that the innovative approach and uncompromised quality of style, design and breakthrough technology common between both the brands will be furthered with their third exclusive offering - LG Prada K2. The Android smartphone is likely to hit the markets early 2012.
LG and Prada began working together in 2006 and by 2007 they surprised the world with Prada LG 1.0- world’s first touchscreen mobile phone. The premium device continues to be a part of the permanent collection in New York City’s Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Shanghai.
In 2008 the two companies with LG 2.0., their second product under the partnership took the mobile experience for users to new heights with its easy access to caller ID, SMS text messages, call history, call block and two-way alarm notification.
We have been hearing about the LG Prada K2 for sometime now and we are quite excited to see the device unveiled in all its glory.
