LG Prada K2 benchmarked, surprises with Android 2.3.7

Smartphone enthusiasts over at Antufu got their hands on LG’s latest offering and benchmarked it awhile ago. Though their findings have been removed from their website, news of the phone’s performance has already spread all over the internet

The new Prada handset is remarkably thin at 8.8mm and sports a 4.3’’ LCD NOVA display. It is powered by a 1GHz TI OMAP 4430 dual-core processor.  The device offers 21 Mbps HSPA+ connectivity. It has two cameras, a front facing 1.3MP and a rear facing 8MP. When it was benchmarked, it was found that the phone runs on the Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread OS.

LG Prada K2 scored a total of 4928 on the benchmark. Its memory performance stood at 572 and the CPU integer performance at 1161. The CPU floating point performance was seen at 953. The phones 2G graphics performance measured up to 286 while its 3D graphics performance came in at 1213. The database IO performance stood at 410. The SD card write speed was recorded at 14 MB / s (score: 140) and the SD card read speed came in at 25.9 MB / s (score: 193). The CPU frequency was recorded at 1008 MHz.

Unofficial photos of the LG P940 have been doing the rounds of the internet for a while now. The phone’s recent FCC visit confirmed that it will come with NFC support too. This is the first of the LG Prada phones to be a smartphone, the earlier models have all been feature phones. LG and Prada jointly announced the phone sometime back, and it is expected to hit the market in the coming days.
