Snapshots of LG’s high-end handset Spectrum aka LG Revolution 2 surfaces online
Published on Dec 12, 2011
Talk about the LG Spectrum started a few days ago, but not too many details about the phone surfaced in the tech community till now. Pocketnow just got its hands on some snapshots and specs of the phone which, it turned out a few days ago, is the same as the Revolution 2 or VS920 that appeared on Verizon’s website last month.
The Spectrum is reasonably thin but packs quite a punch in its slim frame. Powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, it runs on Android’s Gingerbread OS. Smartphone enthusiasts feel that in looks, it resembles LG’s Optimus devices, especially in terms of its button layout. Though not much more is known about the Spectrum, it is confirmed that the handset will support LTE. In fact, the phone sports a 4G / LTE logo on its rear cover.
The screen of the Spectrum is an HD one, with a resolution of 720p. Even its 8MP camera is HD capable. A high-end device, the Spectrum is sure to offer speed and power like never before. Other, detailed specs about the phone are sure to trickle by in the near future.
Though the exact launch date of the phone is yet unknown, it shouldn’t be too long before Spectrum hits the smartphone market. In the US, it will release on the Verizon network as the Revolution 2. Even from what little is known about its specs, LG is sure to give some tough competition to other players with Spectrum. From the looks of it, smartphone enthusiasts will definitely be spoilt for choice in 2012!
