Huawei has launched the Android 3.2-powered Media Pad and two other phones – the Sonic and Ideos X3 – in India.
Huawei has big plans for its trio of Android devices in India. The Huawei MediaPad was one of the first devices to market with Google's latest version of Honeycomb.
Huawei also unveiled its new messaging service, Message+, which is essentially the company's own version of iMessage or BBM.
Huawei also detailed how the cloud service would feature inside its new range of products.
Commenting on the launch Mr. Anand Narang, Marketing Director at Huawei Devices said:
'We are really excited to be the first player globally and in India to launch Cloud Services. In our consumer interactions, we found that while smartphones being better than Feature phones, still have limitations.'
He added: 'That is where our Cloud+ service offering 16GB Net drive, integrated social phonebook, richer messaging and phone finder services will make our cloudphones smarter than the existing smartphones.'
'By launching industry’s first cloud phones and signing up Chetan Bhagat, India’s youth icon, we look forward to cater to a larger audience base now and further strengthen our belief in our tagline of “Why Wait?'
Here is a brief overview of the two devices from our sister site Know Your Mobile:
