Samsung has confirmed that its Samsung Galaxy Note handset will be getting updated to Android 2.3.6, which is now available via the company’s Kies updater. The update isn’t a big one, featuring only a few minor bug fixes that the average user perhaps would not even notice.
Of course everybody is awaiting the Android Ice Cream Sandwich roll-out, which is scheduled for sometime in Q1 of 2012. However Samsung has to iron out a few bugs in the Note’s software, so think of this update as a bit of housekeeping.
The Samsung Galaxy Note comes equipped with 5.3-inch screen with 800x1200pixel resolution. the smartphone packs in a Super AMOLED capacitive touch display just like the one you find in Samsung Galaxy S. Power packed with dual-core 1.4GHz Cortex A-9, teh device also includes TouchWiz 4.0 UI and Exynos chipset and Mali-400Mp graphic processor.
The Galaxy Note includes 1GB RAM and is available in two storage flavours: 16GB/32GB. It’s also exceptionally thin at just 9.7mm and weighs just 170g. It comes integrated with 8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front-facing snapper, for those fabolous shots.
The Galaxy Note has been available in India for just over a month now, so it’s nice to see that Samsung is already ironing out issues affecting the handset before the big Android 4.0 roll-out.
