Google tablet to arrive in next six months?

The year 2011 has already been quite unexpected for all of us in many ways but without any doubts exciting for Google. Google and Samsung together managed to challenge Apple and with the year-end we can actually see how the two have conquered market space for themselves.

But seems like this was not enough. Google's chairman Eric Schimdt in an interview to an Italian newspaper Corriere della Sea was heard saying, “Noi nei prossimi sei mesi contiamo di mettere sul mercato un tablet di altissima qualità” which somewhat translates to ‘Within the next six months, we plan to make a tablet of the highest quality’.

According to Slashgear, "Google is partway through the process of acquiring Motorola Mobility, and could well use its closer ties with the company to develop a true Google Nexus tablet. Whatever the manufacturer, the slate will likely use Ice Cream Sandwich, the latest version of Android."

Google’s own tablet sounds really exciting! The tablet will be stronger and sharper as told by the Google chairman. But to equal the status of rival for iPad series Google tablet should have mass appeal.

Google has already been working on Majel, the rival for Siri. Majel will be out for Android users in the beginning of 2012 giving strong competition to Siri, the voice-based application for iPhone 4S users.

With Ice Cream Sandwich already spreading sweetness to various smartphones we see that talks about iOS has lessen in the market.
Therefore, it will be quite interesting to see how the tablet will look like and how the market will react to it.
