Nokia, Amazon and Microsoft eye RIM after the company suffers one of its worst years on record.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Nokia and Microsoft are considering acquiring RIM.
Reuters had also reported that Amazon is keen in taking over RIM as well.
RIM, however, isn't so keen and has already turned offers from Amazon, according to reports.
Here's the official line from RIM:
‘While RIM could strike technology licensing deals and other kinds of commercial partnerships to boost revenue, an outright sale or joint venture is not on the cards for now.'
Interestingly after the reports about Nokia, Microsoft and Amazon being interested in the venture surfaced, shares of the Canadian maker saw a jump of 10 percent.
Jaguar Financial Corp has called for a sale of RIM as a whole or in separate parts, such as the handset business, the network services operation, or the copany's patent portfolio.
2012 is certainly going to be an interesting year for RIM.
