A ROM for Android 4.0 (with HTC Sense UI-support) has been released for the HTC Sensation.
Those who have been waiting to experience HTC's Sense UI on Android 4.0 are in for a treat – it's been officially hacked and ported over.
Thanks to the XDA developer's we can now get a glimpse of what Sense UI would look when powered with Google's Android 4.0 update.
The XDA forum lists the changes that are likely to come to the HTC devices:
- Base - 3.06.401.101 Sensation XE, Android 4.0.1
- Kernel - Stock, 3.0.13-g8085863 htc-kernel
- Face unlock
- Movie Studio
- Added Keyboard pop up animation.
- EVO Latin IME (standard android keyboard)
According to the Android Central the leak build shows the following:
'The sense dock some of us have grown to love is no longer there, it has been replaced with a more standard looking dock. The lockscreen now features the ability to launch into folders instead of just single applications, as well as face unlock and more.'
We look forward to the official release, but if you can't wait for that you can download the software from XDA forum.
Recently Sony Ericsson released the road map for the launch of the Android 4.0 update on its 2011 Xperia range of handsets.
