Datawind has teamed up with NCarry.com to sell its Aakash tablet

Datawind tablets are now available through NCarry.com.

NCarry.com is the online retail arm of the Nimbuzz. The Canadian tablet manufacturer has teamed up with NCarry.com, the online retail platform to sell its tablets.

Nimbuzz IM is one of the many apps that Aakash tablet comes pre-loaded with.

According to a mail received by BGR.in, Datawind said: “Due to the overwhelming demand for Aakash, we have reached the original Cash-on-Delivery limit”. 

No doubt this has come as a relief to all those who were interested in buying commercial versions of Aakash tablet.

The company has recently been struggling to make good on its delivery obligations, originally said to be a week from order. Now the company is saying 'January' for deliveries. The result? Angry consumers.

This venture between Datawind and NCarry.com will definitely help Datawind in managing their market.

NCarry.com offers consumers the ability of paying for the tablet when you receive it. However it did also confirm that customers that pay online will get first dibs on stock.

Ordering the Aakash tablet through the NCarry.com will cost you Rs.2,499 but will also apply shipping charges of Rs.199.

Datawind is also planning to offer another upgraded version of UbiSlate 7, the successor of Aakash tablet.
